About Alamo

Alamo Elementary School, founded in 1926, is a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence located in central Richmond District in San Francisco CA. The school serves almost six hundred students, from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade, in some twenty six different classes.

Our goal is always to provide a rich, rewarding, best-practiced education to our students delivered by our highly qualified teachers, staff and community volunteers.

In addition to the district- and state- adopted core curriculum, Friends of Alamo School Foundation (FASF) supplements our students' experience with visual arts, music, science and physical education programs conducted by professionals.

In addition to the support provided by FASF, many other school events and programs are supported by Alamo's Parent Teacher Association (PTA).

As you tour our school, you will see the beautiful and enriching art works of our local artists-in-residence. The art works exhibited by our students reflect our school motto "Be a Friend".
